Folia Files vs Commander One
Folia Files or Commander One?
Commander One brings the Total Commander way of working to the Mac, with a free version and a PRO pack. Folia Files keeps the keyboard habits (F5, F6) and adds sync, batch rename, an undo history and tools that work in every app.
7 days free with every feature, no account, no card. Then $49.99 once for up to 3 Macs, every future update included — no subscription.

In short
Commander One is free for two panes and tabs; its PRO pack ($29.99 for one Mac, personal use) adds servers, clouds, the terminal and themes. Its maker states it has no folder sync, no folder comparison and no batch rename. Folia Files has all three, plus an undo history, search inside documents and images, a clipboard history and an Open/Save assistant, for $49.99 once on up to three Macs.

What Commander One does well
Its free version is genuinely usable: two panes, unlimited tabs, a queue of operations, search inside files with regular expressions. The keyboard works like Total Commander (F3 view, F4 edit, F5 copy, F8 delete). The PRO pack adds a long list of clouds (including MEGA, pCloud and Box), mounting Dropbox as a drive, RAR and 7z archives, iOS and Android devices, and client-side encryption of cloud files.
What Folia Files adds
Folia Files keeps the essentials of commander-style work — two panes and more, F5 to copy and F6 to move to the other pane — and adds what Commander One's maker says it doesn't do: folder sync, folder comparison and batch rename. Every operation goes to a history you can undo line by line.
- Sync folders on demand, on a schedule or at every change
- Batch rename with templates, photo dates and regular expressions
- Search inside documents and images, on the Mac
- Clipboard history, drawer and Open/Save assistant in every app

Free, PRO, or one price
Commander One is free without servers and clouds; PRO costs $29.99 for one Mac (personal use) or $99.99 for five, with an optional add-on for future major upgrades. Folia Files has no free tier but a 7-day trial with everything, then $49.99 once for up to three Macs, major upgrades included.

Questions
F5 copies and F6 moves the selection to the other pane, F2 renames, and every shortcut can be undone with ⌘Z. It is not a full Total Commander key map.
No, but the 7-day trial has every feature and needs no account or card.
